huck fin reader response 3

What impresses Huck about the Greenford’s house is that it was that he said “it was a mighty fine house, too I hadn’t seen no house out in the country before that was so nice and had so much style.” He said it didn’t have an iron latch on the door but I nice brass knob the same as the houses in town all parlors had beds in them it had a huge fire place that was bricked at the bottom of it had big bras bog-iron that could hold up a whole log. they had clocks in they house it had pictures around the house and one that Huck noticed was one hung above the mantle piece of a town.( quote on page 75 pp 3)

. What was so nice about the books in the house is that they had so many and Huck was so interested because he loves to read. Huck’s view of education is that he thinks schooling or at least reading is important and you need to be able to read and write.

What is so unique about the paintings is that it resembles what the little girl was like and what her life was like. The painting of the girl on the edge of the bridge is very significant because it says she doesn’t know if she wants to live, go to heaven or to go to hell mark twain describes this so specifically because this was her last drawing that was never finished. It might say that she wants to die or kill herself off the bridge. Huck was touched because he felt bad the girl never finished it. Huck said “ I reckon it is lovely” on page 79 pp

Moral dilemmas in Huck Finn
In the adventures of huckleberry Finn. Huck faces a number of moral dilemmas which reveal much about his character. Choose one of Huck’s moral dilemmas and write a well organized essay in which you use quotes to support your points.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the adventures of Huckleberry Finn Huckleberry or Huck runs into a lot of moral dilemmas he gets himself into. In this essay will thourally explain one of his moral dilemmas and tell you some of my thoughts on it.

One moral dilemma Huck runs into a couple times is lying about his name and forgetting it later. He did this twice so far but he being as smart as he is found his way out. This leads to Huck’s character development because he starts to realize he maybe should not have faked his death so if he told the people his real name the would not be afraid of him since they think he is dead right now. This really helps him mature and help him grown into a young man and think on his own instead of having the widow thinking for him. In one case when Huck was at the Grangerford’s house and Huck told the whole family that his name was George Jackson and he went along with it and they let him read their books and sleep over to rest and gave him food but when he woke up Huck forgot his name so he asked buck if he could spell and of course buck says yes so Huck said “ I bet you cant spell my name” and buck spelt “ G-o-r-g-e J-a-x-o-n. So Huck told him he got it and Huck knew his name again.

Personally Huck made a smart move. Huck made a smart move by tricking buck to spell out his name and him spelling it out in his own head. It was smart and it would have been something people would do to avoid trouble but know body would ever think to do. Most people would panic and say they had to leave or freak out and get stressed but Huck didn’t.

Huck made a good decision because, if he would have gone along the rest of the day not knowing his name they would have said something like “ George” and Huck would have not responded. Also if they had anymore company over Huck would have been forced to say his name again and he would be found out and they would have kicked him out or maybe even beaten him. So huck made a good decision getting buck to say his name right then and there.

All in all Huck is faced with a lot of moral dilemmas and finds ways out of them. Huck is always being calm, and contained. He is pretty smart and tricking buck into spelling his name was a tricky trick and was very clever. With all of these dilemmas Huck is going to mature and his character will grow through out the book and he is and will turn out to be a very smart and kind kid.
